The sliding panel has now been installed in a section of the CERC roof, enabling cranes to remove the line 2 boiler in sections. Due to recent adverse weather, our contractors have had to postpone several daytime crane lifting operations and will now carry out a number of crane lifts at night, the first of these will happen tonight (10 December) if weather conditions are suitable.

The area will be lit whilst lifting operations take place overnight for the health and safety of our contractors.

Please note that the repair works will be paused for the festive holiday period from 20 December 2025, restarting on 06 January 2026.
